Here at Countryside Dog Camp, our staff members move about our 56-acre camp all day long. We spend our days hiking in the woods, running in the fields, swimming in the pond and driving our side-by-side all terrain vehicles all over camp. Things can happen in the blink of an eye and we recognize the need to always be ready and able to help any co-worker should something happen.
One step that we are taking to become as knowledgeable and prepared as possible is taking CPR Classes! Once per month, our staff has been attending CPR classes at the Carbondale YMCA so that we can all become certified!
One of the best parts about these classes is that the Carbondale YMCA offers a dog-friendly atmosphere for us...and you KNOW we take advantage of that! Last time we attended our classes, we brought some of our rescue dogs from It’s Ruff Without a Roof with us for exposure and socialization. As you can see in our photo, sweet Sophia, was a hit - loving on children and grown-ups alike.
